I specialize in effective therapy for adults who are suffering from anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and assertiveness issues. This has sparked my interest in working on topics such as life transition, career exploration, and examinations of one's identities. Liberation Institute is a community mental health clinic that offers therapeutic services on a sliding scale. It first opened its doors on October 7, 2008, in San Francisco, then expanded to Portland in June 2020. Between the two locations, Liberation Institute helps 600 individuals, couples, and families a week by a staff of therapists, supervisors, artists, activists, meditation teachers and others who are committed to serving the community together.

I have found that traditional medicine does not always consider the root cause of symptoms, and I use evidence to understanding how inflammation, nutrition, lifestyle, gut health, hormones and stress impact physical and mental health. Our goal will be to systematically explore the past and present elements affecting your life so we can establish and/or confirm a diagnosis and the appropriate level of care for you. Before our session, you will receive documents for you to fill out. Assessment can be lengthily at times and prefilled documents can ease us into a more enjoyable conversation. We will also go over the rules and regulations to preserve safety and lay the framework for your treatment. After our first session, follow up appointments are usually between 25-30 mins long and the frequency of the sessions can be decided by medication management and therapeutic outcomes. Because every case can be different from the next one, your treatment will be tailored to your need. The complexity of your case will determine the adjustments to your treatment plan. When pertinent, we will do our best to provide you with complementary services from around your community. I hope to do this all while helping you feel as comfortable as possible. I work with relationship issues and sexuality, certified as a Relationship Therapist through the Gottman Institute of Seattle. I am also certified as a Sex Therapist through AASECT, the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists. Several years ago I realized I am autistic and now I address issues experienced by people who are autistic/ Asperger's or those who wonder whether they may carry that diagnosis. I also see people with other forms of neurodivergence such as ADHD. Originally I am from Boston and grew up in a working class family with a commitment to political activism. I am licensed in NY and FL as well as Oregon and Washington State. Although I offer some reduced fee spots I am sorry to say they are consistently full.
